Legacy
Several years ago Unity Light of Grace members renamed our Building Fund to better reflect our intentions as a ministry. It was named the ‘Growth Fund’ as a way in which people could contribute to the future growth of our ministry.
It was determined that the ‘Growth Fund’ money could be used in various ways pertaining to the growth of Unity Light of Grace.
Monies from the ‘Growth Fund’ are used in ways that support our growth as a ministry as well as being saved for a future property purchase or a ‘build out’ and expenses involved in leasing a building.
As with all the money received at Unity Light of Grace, the ‘Growth Fund’ is tithed on.
Ways to Give…
Direct Contributions
You can contribute to the future of Unity Light of Grace by giving to the ‘Growth Fund’ above and beyond your regular tithe. You can use the colorful envelopes available or simply mark your check ‘Growth Fund’ on the memo line and mail or bring it with you to church. You may also use your credit or debit cards.
Attend Special Events
You can also contribute to the ‘Growth Fund’ by attending the special events sponsored throughout the year by Unity Light of Grace. The money raised at these events directly fund our future.

Amazon Smile
Tens of millions of products on AmazonSmile are eligible for donations. You will see eligible products marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages. Recurring Subscribe-and-Save purchases and subscription renewals are not currently eligible. Manage your AmazonSmile Account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile using a single account. On your first visit to AmazonSmile, you will be prompted to select a charitable organization to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. The program will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make on AmazonSmile will result in a donation automatically. Just remember to choose Unity Light of Grace as your non-profit organization to support.
Fry’s Community Reward Program
Simply create an online Fry’s Account by going to http://www.frysfood.com/ and select ‘Register’. ‘Under Sign-In’ information, enter your email and create a password. Then select’ Use Card Number’ and enter your Fry’s V.I.P. Card Number, last name and postal code. Under ‘Select Your Preferred Store’ enter your postal code. Choose your store then select ‘Create Account’. You will then be prompted to check your email for a confirmation email.
You are now ready to register for the Fry’s Community Rewards Program. Go to https://www.frysfood.com/topic/community?activePage=community-rewards-2 and ‘Sign In’.Once in, select ‘My Account then select “Account Settings’ from the drop down menu. Click ‘edit’ under Community Rewards. If prompted, enter personal information. Under ‘Find Your Organization’ enter Unity Church of Surprise or simply use our NPO #38038. Select the box next to our organization and ‘save’ changes. Shop as usual saving gas points and sending a donation from your shopping experience to Unity Light of Grace. Your gas points are not affected by your donation. Remember too, that the first Wednesday of the month is Senior Day and seniors receive an additional 10% off their food purchase at checkout.

Spiritual Practice of Tithing
What Is a Tithe?
The word “tithe” means a tenth. To tithe is to return 10% of all we receive to a person, place or institution from which you have been spiritual fed. Spiritually fed means that which inspires us, teaches us, reminds us of the Truth and causes us to remember who we really are… human beings created in the likeness of God, filled with the Spirit of God, expressing as a spiritual being in a human body.
What About Tithing to Charity?
We do not give to charity in place of a tithe. We tithe to where we are spiritually fed, giving to God first, and then we give over and above our 10% tithe. As a tithing ministry, Unity Light of Grace tithes 10% to support the growth of Unity Principles and 1% to a charitable organization in our community. This may include individuals, organizations, churches or groups.
